ABOUT ME/FUN FACT: In addition to choral music, I sing opera, oratorio, and other religious and secular music. For my job, I am an immunizing pharmacy technician.

ABOUT ME/FUN FACT:
Former Music Director of an NPR/PBS Affiliate in Southern Illinois. I loved working in public broadcasting, but it didn't support my music habit very well. So, I'm now a Database Architect, specializing in data modeling, scalability and performance tuning. My first database project was cataloging thousands of classical music recordings in the days when 'computer science' still involved punch cards. Since then, I've worked for startups, Fortune 500s, and everything in between, and have managed petabytes of data.
I have sung with many choirs through the years, and always find music making to be the most sublime and satisfying expression of human cooperation and achievement. I couldn't live without it. Musicians are my people.
My partner and I have seven adult children and three grandchildren (so far) between us, and are almost done paying for their college tuition.

ABOUT ME/FUN FACT: I’m a music teacher at Odessa Middle School and Director of Traditional Worship at Christ UMC. I’ve sung with choirs all my life, including 15 years with Heartland Men’s Chorus and now with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus. I love building community through music with my students, choirs, and church family. Fun fact: I’ve been reading four-part harmony since I was a kid—thank you, Mennonite roots!

ABOUT ME/FUN FACT: Gamer, hobbyist writer, fantasy/scifi bookworm, D&D and other tabletop game enjoyer. Live with my husband, Stephen, and our two cats Mara and Vivi. Joined the chorus at the prodding of my sister Heidi who's also a member, which is similar to how my singing 'career' began back in high school when she convinced me to join the Men's Chorus at Shawnee Mission Northwest and I've been singing in college and other groups ever since.

ABOUT ME/FUN FACT: Excited to jump into my second year with the Chorus! During the day, I work in community engagement at Starlight. I’m a big Disney fan. I do a lot of their RunDisney events as a “health-related” excuse to go to the parks. I also like baking and playing Pokemon Go on my phone.
